The prettiest prezzie I ever got!

In my last blog post I promised to show you the awesome gift my BFF made me, so…
It all began with a big box introduced to me with the following text:

Inside there where lots of presents, all with fun and mysterious words on them. What I found? The new issue of Mollie Makes, Joel Dewberry’s book Sewn Spaces, movie tickets, masking tape, mod podge,… Yes, she spoiled me :-)
And of course the prettiest prezzie ever! She mod podged my name in the most awesome way!! Look:


Isn’t it pretty? They got a special place in my living room, so I can admire them every day!

Of course there was cake too :-) So even though I’m another year older, it was a fantastic birthday!

Change of plans…

Happy Sunday to you all!

For today I wanted to show you some pictures of my hyacinth, nothing gives one more hope for the coming spring than those colourful flowers with their delicious perfume, don’t you agree?

And sometimes you can even hear them grow :-) Mine made a sound today while unfolding some leaves! Nothing like the slowly growing orchids I have, they’re really quiet and secretly grow their gorgeous flowers, so you’re surprised by another flowering branch lurking from below a leaf… Faithfull bloomers all of them!

So, I hear you say, where are those photos you made? Well, that’s the change of plans for today. My camera just died on me while taking them :-( Hopefully it’s just a little hiccup and he will resume his faithful tasks once again, but if not, I will have to make do without new pics for the moment…

But for now, to please everyone's need for colour an beauty this time of the year, I‘ll throw in some photos I made last year on an orchid show…

The one above smells divine! One of the few fragrant species… I bought a baby plant, she’ll be giving flowers soon I hope!

I have plants in similar colours as the one above and below, only with fewer flowers! Maybe someday they’ll be just as pretty and abundant!

So sweet!

Me and my BFF (she’s my absolute bestest friend in the whole wide world, my shrink and partner in crime all wrapped up in one) give each other Christmas presents each year. This year she made a crochet nurse to hang onto the package I got! It’s so sweet I just have to share it with you!!

She even made her a blonde like me :–)

By the way, the background are the new sheets I got form my mother, they're so pretty and colourful, I love them! Only The Boyfriend has some reservations about the pink bits… Oh well ;-)

Yep, I've found it...

The Pinterest virus...

Oh boy! My to-do-list and want-to-have-list were enormous already, now they quadrupled!!!

I'm just looking for a good soul to invite me, because I see all that awesome stuff, but I can't pin... (Update: Thanks to Lisette from Studio SOIL for inviting me!)

Now, should I go and do something useful? Or wander around Pinterest some more? Ah, the dilemma!!
