Mini give-away!!

To celebrate that my blog has over 100 followers and because it’s just so much fun to do, I’m organizing a mini-giveaway! I'll name the winner on July 21st!

What’s it all about? A crochet cover, pot and a baby-crassula  (succulent and supposed to be a money-plant) included, like on the pic, some more crochet flowers and other cute goodies!

To enter you must leave a comment below and be a follower, that’s all! Some promotion is always considered to be really sweet!

Niet vergeten dat Google reader vanaf volgende week ermee stopt… Mijn blog blijven volgen kan bv via Bloglovin!

Don’t forget Google reader retires next week, so following my blog is possible with Bloglovin or other apps…

Love, Zjizjipke!

Grannyswap, part two!

November 30 was the big-grannyswap-unwrapping-day!

And such gorgeous granny squares found their way to Belgium! But first I’ll show you the ones I sent to these lovely ladies:

As a little extra I made everyone a masking tape happy birthday card :-) That was my first card making try-out, so I hope they came out ok!

Now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for: the big tadaah-look-what-I-got!

Esther

Birgit

Isolde

Willeke

Tessa

Sandra

All the beautiful, brightly coloured granny squares!

Now to decide what to make with them… Thank you so much ladies for the fun swap! I loved it :-)
Love, Zjizjipke!

Well, well, well…

… did you really think I was going to let you finish the pattern today??

Grannyswap

Back in august I came across a granny swap on Twitter. You crochet some granny squares for other people and get an equal amount of granny’s in return. It looked like a fun thing to do, so didn’t hesitate to write myself up!
After some Tweets and mails we agreed on 5 squares each, so with a group of seven, we needed to send out 6 envelopes with 5 granny’s in them.
Being the procrastinating queen of the world, I knew I would get into trouble if I didn’t start immediately! So going against my nature, I had all the granny’s finished by mid-September :-)
The big unveiling is planned for November 30th, so I made the envelopes today, ready to go to Holland tomorrow!

Tessa, Birgit, Esther, Sandra, Willeke en Isolde, the granny’s are coming! Hope you like them!

Blankie (p)inspiration!

Well, it’s about time to show you some more of my favourite pins!

Today it’s all about gorgeous, warm and cosy blankies! While I’m (still) working on blankie n°2, I already have some ideas in mind for the next one!

Hope you like my (p)inspiration!

Home Sweet Home: hard work!

Well, it’s really hard work keeping those books from falling over!

Don’t look at me like that, it’s an important job!

Really!

Finally, playtime!

Taking off the masks…

From march 12 until 18 the masks are coming off! Lilith and Ilse are hosting an event called ‘wijvenweek’ (no exact translation in English, but it’s like a ladiesweek with guts…)

Dozens of blogging ladies (and men) are going to post about certain themes that week… The big idea and goal is to put aside our glamorous reputation, those stunning pictures, our best work, good hair days, our clean and gorgeously decorated homes and reveal real life: the tons of badly taken pictures, projects that will never be finished or shown, the bad hair days, the dust on the floor and the piles of dirty dishes…

And yes, Zjizjipke will be one of them! So stay tuned for ‘wijvenweek’ and learn all about my (and others) hidden, darker side :-)

Love, Zjizjipke!

Change of plans…

Happy Sunday to you all!

For today I wanted to show you some pictures of my hyacinth, nothing gives one more hope for the coming spring than those colourful flowers with their delicious perfume, don’t you agree?

And sometimes you can even hear them grow :-) Mine made a sound today while unfolding some leaves! Nothing like the slowly growing orchids I have, they’re really quiet and secretly grow their gorgeous flowers, so you’re surprised by another flowering branch lurking from below a leaf… Faithfull bloomers all of them!

So, I hear you say, where are those photos you made? Well, that’s the change of plans for today. My camera just died on me while taking them :-( Hopefully it’s just a little hiccup and he will resume his faithful tasks once again, but if not, I will have to make do without new pics for the moment…

But for now, to please everyone's need for colour an beauty this time of the year, I‘ll throw in some photos I made last year on an orchid show…

The one above smells divine! One of the few fragrant species… I bought a baby plant, she’ll be giving flowers soon I hope!

I have plants in similar colours as the one above and below, only with fewer flowers! Maybe someday they’ll be just as pretty and abundant!

Love, Zjizjipke!

DIY (p)inspiration

I’ve collected some more inspirational pics from Pinterest, this time from my board DIY…

I linked the photos to their original home on the web, not always their pinned source… Sadly some pinners don’t always respect other people’s efforts and refuse to pin the original, but instead link their own sites. The Playmobil-men one took me ages to try and find the original source, but I got lost along the way… Sadly my language knowledge isn’t that good to understand Spanish websites. (So the coathanger with Playmobiltoys isn't mine, but the original owner couldn't be tracked, if anyone finds the original source, please let me know!)

But nevertheless enjoy the (p)inspiration!
